Sir Berkeley Guise, 2nd Baronet

Sir Berkeley William Guise, 2nd Baronet (14 July 1775 – 23 July 1834) was a British landowner and Whig Member of Parliament.
He was born the eldest son of Sir John Guise, 1st Baronet, of Highnam Court, Churcham, Gloucestershire and educated at Eton College (1791) and Christ Church, Oxford (1794). He succeeded his father in 1794, inheriting Highnam Court. He also inherited the Gloucestershire estates of Elmore Court and Rendcomb on the death in 1807 of his cousin Jane Barrington, wife of the Bishop of Durham.
He was appointed verderer and deputy warden of the Forest of Dean from 1801 to his death, Sheriff of Gloucester city in 1807 and Mayor of Gloucester in 1813. He served as an officer in both the North Gloustershire militia (1798) and the Royal East Gloucestershire militia (1809).
He was MP for Gloucestershire from 1811 to 1832 and then as MP for one of the replacement constituencies, Gloucestershire East, from 1832 to 1834.
He died unmarried in 1834. He was succeeded by his younger brother, Army officer General Sir John Wright Guise. Highnam Court was sold to Thomas Gambier Parry.
